Smokin' Guns [Edit Game]

Smokin' Guns is a free western FPS shooter that started as a mod under the name Western Quake 3, using id Software’s Quake III Arena engine. The current version is standalone and offers some exciting 3D multiplayer action. This total conversion offers a full and historically accurate arsenal, based on weapons used by real cowboys in XIX century. A detailed damage system assures that shots to different locations of the body result in consistent damage, such as head, chest, neck and so on. Game modes include some names such as Bank Robbery and Duel, and a money system allows for purchase of equipment with money received from rewards and pickups. The western-styled maps are mostly inspired by movies of the genre, and the soundtrack and effects are also created to add to the atmosphere.Smokin' Guns is a very ambitious project and an extremely competent free first-person shooter game based on an original setting.
